The Boston Strangler
Release date: 1968
20th Century Fox
Summary
Based on the true story of the 1960s Boston Strangler, the film depicts the investigation into a series of seemingly random murders of women in Boston from 1962-1964. Although Albert DeSalvo was long believed to be responsible for the murders, he was never tried or convicted of the murders. In 2013, based on DNA evidence, investigators concluded that Mr. DeSalvo was "most likely" the serial killer. This film is notable for its novel use of split-screen imagery.
